Q: If I want to use my UMAT 2003 results to apply for admission, do I need to register for UMAT in 2004?
A: No. You do not need to register for UMAT in 2004 if you want the universities to consider your UMAT
2003 scores. You will have to provide your UMAT candidate number at some stage during the application process
for university admission, either with your application to the tertiary admission centre or by sending it direct
to the university. Contact the universities concerned for further information.
Q: When will I receive my UMAT results?
A: A UMAT Statement of Results will be mailed to every candidate in late September. To protect candidate
confidentiality, results cannot be released over the phone or by facsimile or email.
Q: Will I be penalised for taking UMAT more than once?
A: There is no penalty for taking the UMAT more than once BUT the universities will only use your most
recent results when considering your application. UMAT scores are valid for 2 years.
Q: Do I need to send my UMAT results to the universities?
A: No. ACER will forward all UMAT results to the UMAT Consortium universities. The universities will then
match UMAT results to the applications submitted for university admission.
Q: Do I need to bring identification on the test day?
A: On the day of the test you will be required to show one form of photo-bearing identification. Your ID must
contain a recent photograph, name, date of birth and signature.
In 2003, the following documents were acceptable:
* current passport
* student identification card (photo-bearing)
* current Australian driver's licence or learner's permit (photo-bearing)
* transport concession card (photo-bearing)

release venue details before the release of Admission Tickets.

the arrival time for the registration process and testing time.
